An Extraordinary Day: Yesterday's No Kings Protest in Nashville
While Republicans are bowing to a king, Democrats and Independents are embracing patriotism and the American flag
The day was magnificent, inspiring, and unforgettable
More than anything, the hundreds of American flags brought a tear to my eye
The Nashville protest started with megaphone-amplified chants and declarations in Bicentennial amphitheater, and then we marched to all stretches and corners of the 19-acre plaza
There, for hours, chants of “No Kings!” and “Save our Democracy!” were met by expanding numbers of protesters and lines of cars honking in support of the Constitution and the rule of law
The spirit of 1776 was writ large . . . And the spirit of MLK . .
If you missed this one, you’ve got to attend the next one
I’ll keep you posted
I’ll end with this one
Have a good rest of your Sunday
