Instructions on How to LISTEN to 'American Commonwealth' Rather Than Read

It's easy to do, but you'll need the Substack app

Here’s how to listen to American Commonwealth:

1. At the top of each email you receive, you will see in small print a hyperlink that says “Open in App.” Click on it.

2. Next, so long as you already have the app, you will be taken to an app version of the essay. Once you land there, all you have to do is to click the headphones icon at the top right corner of essay.

3. After clicking on the headphones icon, click on “Play Now,” and you’ll be listening.
