Thanks for this researched-based approach, Paul, and even more the attention to "leadership." Leaders are elected by the people and for the people, but that does not mean that they have to be blind puppets of the people, especially during times of crisis-induced or demagoguery-induced desperation and paranoia. My view is that today's crisis of democracy can be explained by a failure of ethical leadership. Yes, plenty of colorful words! Thanks for reading, Peter, and for your encouragement. Really, the truth is that I am using my doctor skills and trying to figure out the "diagnosis" and, with that in hand, the cure or future preventive strategy.
