Thank you for so clearly articulating what’s at stake. The reluctance (willingness?) of the Republican Party to shirk its gatekeeper responsibilities is maddening. There is some hope that the commission has forced the hand of the party to do the right thing.
Thanks, John. As far as the Republican Party leadership is concerned, I think it’s fear combined opportunism in most and, in some, personality disorder, as with Trump. I am giving thanks today for the moral courage of the Justice Department and the FBI, as evidenced last night at Mar-a-Lago. The Constitution, it appears, is going to defeat Trump rather than vice versa. ✨
