Love the hopeful, upbeat message at the end, Eli. Dark times right now, but it's helpful to think that the future might be brighter -- or, at least, less dark. I, too, worry about the coming violence.
It’s hard to find that optimistic, upbeat inner child, Pete. I think I write short pieces like this precisely to help me find it. Then I pass it along, because, as the famous poet said, hope springs eternal.
This desire for a uni-party and allegiance to the one party has great historical precedence. It worked so well in Russia, China, North Korea, Venezuela, Cuba, et al! I think you summarized succinctly the Democrat party's approach to governing. Thanks for your lucid explanation of the Democrat party's goal and its adherents' feelings.
My friend, your sarcasm is unwanted here. I would enjoy and appreciate your constructive comments. Otherwise, please feel free to unsubscribe. This is not a forum for bitterness or sacrasm.
Good to hear. Sorry if I misunderstood. My belief is that we must have ethical political parties that at least put country and Constitution above profit and partisanship. I hope the Republican Party can find its way back to this. I think that is improbable. So I look forward to the rise of an ethical Conservative Party under the leadership of someone like Liz Cheney. I would deplore one party liberal rule as much as you would!

Honestly, no sarcasm intended, my friend. I've enjoyed reading your musings.
